Mountain Bike Events in Metro Manila - October 2012

There certainly are a lot going on today on the mountain biking scene and it's good to know that a lot of people are indulging on it not only as a sport but as a regular hobby. For mountain bikers out there, particularly bikers within Metro Manila and surrounding areas of the Philippines, who are interested to know the events and happenings in the mountain biking scene, here is the list:

Rudy Project Triathlon: Give it a TRI
Triathlon: Swim, Mountain bike, Run
October 7, 2012 (Sunday)
Nuvali, Sta. Rosa, Laguna, Philippines

900-meter swim followed by a 30-kilometer mountain bike ride and finally an 8-kilometer run. The race divided into individual male and female race categories. The swim-mountain bike-run events are categorized by age brackets, namely:

• Male: 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50 & above
• Female: 16-19 yrs, 20-29, 30-39, 40 & above

Awards and Prizes
Limited Edition Rudy Project Triathlon Stratofly Eyewear
Rudy Project Triathlon Finisher Shirt
Medals and prizes will be awarded to Overall Top Three in Male and Female Categories.
Medals and prizes will be awarded to TOP THREE in each age group.

A registration fee of Php 3,000 is required through any Rudy Project Stores in the Philippines. Your registration fee will buy you Race Packet, Lunch, Race shirt and Timing Chip. Deadline of registration is on the 25th of September 2012. Bring your own mountain bike and gears.

Livestrong Day: Unite Believe in Life

Manila, Philippines

Assembly starts at 5:30AM followed by a 15-minute Zumba warm up (hosted by Gold's Gym. The 5-kilometer and 16-kilometer fun run kicks off at 6AM. Don't worry, this is a fun run not a race. Then a 15-minute Zumba cooldown.

Mountain biking challenge ride starts at 8AM. This is now a 21-kilometer race so be sure to take the Zumba warm-up before that to avoid injury. The 21-kilometer mountain bike challenge will circle Canley, Ultra and Saint Paul. Another mountain biking event is 16-kilometer but this is no longer a race fun ride that will thread Julia Vargas in Ortigas Center.

At 9:30AM, another Zumba cool-down then  another 16-kilometer fun run.

A P900 registration fee is required that will grant you access to the event plus an event jersey that will be delivered free to you once your registration is confirmed.
